All of the services we provide are free. Our primary focus is the food and clothing center that serves the working poor and others in need. Our Food and Clothing Bank differs from all the other food and clothing centres in Hamilton. Clients have an interview by and intake volunteer and then given "dream dollars" to "spend" on the food and clothes that their family may need. While they wait, Coffee and snacks are provided in a cafe setting. There is also a play area for their children to enjoy.
In the near future we will be expanding our services to include a Youth at Risk drop in centre. This will tie in with the existing Life Skills Training that we offer. Many of the youth in our neighbourhood need help to get a job, whether it is their first or just a change of employment, we will provide them with the resources to be successful in this area.
As this program developes we will also be hosting parenting courses, budgeting and cooking classes.
